On 5 March 2026, Harm Gijsbers successfully defended his PhD on the implementation and scaling of telemonitoring in Dutch university medical centres. Congratulations Harm on earning your PhD!
His work shows that while telemonitoring offers clear benefits for accessibility and efficiency of care, successful large-scale adoption depends on more than technology alone. Training, collaboration, sustainable funding, and integration into daily practices are essential. His thesis can be found at the UvA website Implementation and scale up of telemonitoring in the Netherlands
